MoraBanc enhances its asset advisory services by signing an exclusive agreement with Goldman Sachs

MoraBanc has signed an exclusive agreement with Goldman Sachs, one of the largest banks in the world, in order to strengthen its range of products and services in Andorra. This agreement will enable MoraBanc’s clients to access advisory services and investment portfolios specifically designed by Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) for MoraBanc.

MoraBanc presented its strategic plan in November, geared towards transforming the organization so as to make way for a bank more focused on service and more streamlined and digital, offering its clients the best solutions on the market for the management of their assets.

Goldman Sachs is one of the largest global investment banks in the world. At the end of 2018 its asset management unit managed a volume totalling 1.54 trillion dollars, with a team of 2,138 professionals spread across 30 branches around the world.

Lluís Alsina, MoraBanc’s Managing Director, considers that “the agreement between MoraBanc and Goldman Sachs will bring a differential value to our clients, enabling them to obtain exclusive information and a broader range of more customised products and services. In strategic terms, the agreement reflects the bank’s intention to focus on client service, moving forward with the best partners in each sector in order to offer our clients the best solutions on the market”.

Lucía Catalán, manager of Goldman Sachs Asset Management for Iberia and Latin America, believes that “with this agreement, MoraBanc’s clients will gain access to the experience of our Global Portfolio Solutions team in both asset allocation and risk management”. Specifically, clients in the discretionary segment will be able to benefit from the selection among different kinds of assets by means of the open architecture model of our Alternative Investments and Manager Selection team, made up of 250 professionals.
