Economist Xavier Sala i Martín headlined a conference organized by MoraBanc on the major changes redefining the global economy and the wealth creation opportunities of the coming years. Under the title “Where the Next Great Wealth Will Be Created in the Global Economy,” the exclusive event was aimed at the bank’s clients interested in market developments and global economic trends.
A Professor of Economics at Columbia University in New York and advisor to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Sala i Martín addressed topics such as geopolitical uncertainty, trade and energy wars, the impact of public debt, and the risks of stagflation in major economies. He also dedicated a significant part of the conference to artificial intelligence and its application in finance and investment, highlighting the sectors and areas where new opportunities for growth and value creation may emerge in the coming years.
The session included a welcome speech by Xavier Riestra, Deputy General Manager and Head of Andorra Business at MoraBanc, a conversation with journalist Gabriel Fernández, and a Q&A session with attendees. Through this initiative, MoraBanc reinforces its commitment to bringing high-value content on economics, innovation, and the transformation of financial markets closer to its clients and to Andorran society.
