The retirement home promoted by MoraBanc in Encamp moves forward with an agreement signed with the parish’s Comú.

MoraBanc and the Comú of Encamp have formalized a collaboration agreement for the future operation of the retirement home for seniors that the bank is promoting in the parish. The agreement establishes priority access for Encamp residents with at least three years of residency to the places not contracted by the Government, both in the residential facility and in the day care center. The Mayor (cònsol major), Laura Mas, presented the agreement at an event that also included the presence of the Minister of Social Affairs, Trini Marín, who emphasized that part of the center’s places will be publicly funded in order to support social policies.

A Private Co-Investment with High Social Impact

The residence will be built in the center of Encamp with a 100% private investment, with MoraBanc participating not only as promoter but also as a shareholder. The initial planned capacity will be 120 assisted-living places, and the facility is expected to become operational in 2028. In addition to residential services, the socio-health complex will also include a day care center with 30 places.

MoraBanc’s Head of Investments, Gerard Albà, stated:

“This retirement home project is a great example of how private initiative can generate attractive investment opportunities while at the same time creating value for society, in this case by increasing the number of residential places available for older people. We are proud of the involvement of both investors and the bank in this project, and of being a support pillar for the country’s social policies.”

In terms of care services, the management of the residence will be entrusted to Residencial Parc de l’Ossa, an Andorran company led by Residencial Senior, an operator with more than 20 years of experience in the sector and manager of three retirement homes in Girona.
