MoraBanc Group continues to make progress in executing its strategic plan in Spain and has officially registered the change of corporate name of Banco Europeo de Finanzas (BEF), which will now operate under the name MoraBanc, with its registered office at Calle Jorge Manrique 12. The bank has a Board of Directors chaired by Juan María Nin, and the development of the project is led by José Miguel Maté, CEO of Tressis.
The roadmap for the Group’s growth and strengthening in Spain extends until 2027, when, following the integration of Tressis, MoraBanc is expected to begin operating as a fully-fledged bank in Spain. In addition to adopting its new name, MoraBanc in Spain is establishing its governance structure by incorporating key profiles for the development of its activity.
Manuel Aguilera, who has served as CEO of BEF for the past 13 years, remains in his position as CEO of MoraBanc in Spain. Joining him are Fernando Vallcanera, Chief Risk Officer, and Beatriz Herrero, Chief Financial Officer. The team is completed by Gustau Yubero as Head of Internal Audit and Gregorio Aranda as Head of the banking platform.
Fernando Vallcanera, with more than 17 years of experience in banking and risk management in both national and international environments, joins MoraBanc in Spain as Chief Risk Officer. Throughout his career, he has held senior positions at companies in the sector such as BBVA and UBS.
Beatriz Herrero, for her part, brings more than 15 years of experience in the financial sector at Ernst & Young, mainly in auditing regulated entities both at national level and in other European Union countries.
