MoraBanc’s headquarters has been awarded LEED Platinum certification, the highest level under the internationally recognised green building certification system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The building is the first and only one in Andorra to achieve this certification, recognising the highest standards in energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, indoor environmental quality and innovation in construction.
The certification marks the culmination of the headquarters’ comprehensive refurbishment, which was completed and inaugurated last year. The project, led by GCA Architects with the participation of the Andorran practice Cinc Estudio Arquitectura, has reduced the building’s overall energy consumption by 35% and water consumption by 50%, while incorporating on-site renewable energy generation systems, high-efficiency LED lighting, new climate control systems and intelligent resource management solutions.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the world's leading green building certification system. It assesses buildings across a range of criteria, including energy efficiency, water management, materials, indoor environmental quality, sustainable mobility and innovation. Achieving the Platinum level confirms that the building meets the most demanding standards in each of these areas.
